I highly sugest this book

This is a great little book. I bought this and How to be Anonymous Online - A Quick Step-By-Step Manual. They should be merged into one book because they are perfect together. Darknet is in depth about how a bunch of different anonimity and encyption stuff works. How to be Anonymous Online literally is specific instructions on anonymity. One gives you a general understanding and one gives you exact instructions. In my opinoion you need both. and together they cost less than a month of my ip proxy provider. I highly suggest Darknet: A Beginner's Guide to Staying Anonymous especially for the money.

Full of Hyperbole and Needs an Update

This book does have some good advice, but it is difficult to read through all the hyperbole and for some, it may be difficult to tell what is fact and what is exaggeration. Despite the author's claims, there is no such thing as "TOTAL 100% ANONYMITY" and offering people this "peace of mind" is downright fraudulent.

This book is also out-of-date in several areas. With a subject as rapidly changing as online anonymity, updates are necessary and these small changes make you vulnerable online.

I wish I could recommend this book, but I can't.

About the Author
Ken Liu is one of the most lauded authors in the field of American literature. A winner of the Nebula, Hugo, World Fantasy, Locus Sidewise, and Science Fiction & Fantasy Translation Awards, he has also been nominated for the Sturgeon and Locus Awards. His short story, “The Paper Menagerie,” is the first work of fiction to simultaneously win the Nebula, Hugo, and World Fantasy Awards. He also translated the 2015 Hugo Award–winning novel The Three-Body Problem, written by Cixin Liu, which is the first novel to ever win the Hugo award in translation. The Grace of Kings, his debut novel, is the first volume in a silkpunk epic fantasy series set in a universe he and his wife, artist Lisa Tang Liu, created together. It was a finalist for a Nebula Award and the recipient of the Locus Award for Best First Novel. He lives near Boston with his family.

Beautifully written and greatly varied stories, from delicately imagined to depressing and thought-provoking

This book draws one in gently, but soon travels to dark places.

The first two stories introduce the reader to the delicacy, originality and beauty of Liu's imagination, expressed in science fiction and in fantasy. The more pervasive themes of this collection include the historical (and alt-historical) interactions between Americans, Chinese, and Japanese, in various combinations; the internal conflicts of those whose heritage or history includes two or more of these; and, more generally, the mystery of how human beings can commit and justify atrocities. When stories with such a focus introduce SF or magical elements, those elements are sometimes well integrated, but sometimes oddly incidental.

Liu is so compelling a storyteller that he pulled me into and through the horrific details some of these stories include. I hope this warning does not discourage many readers from taking the same journey.

Stunningly Gorgeous Stories That Have it All!

Paper Tiger is my new favorite short story collection. The title story and "Mono No Aware" are worth the price of the book (and I bought the hardback)! Liu develops complex characters faster than anyone I've ever read, and his stories have interesting plots. Some of them are science fiction, folkloric, strange, or fantastical. Others are pure literary. Either way, it's a tough book to put down because each story is better than the last. He employs rich language and complex themes that made me reflect on the stories long after reading them. It's a must read, and I'll be following Liu's career from here on.

Best book I've read all year

I just recently read this from start to finish during a five day camping trip along a river in the Sierra Nevadas. Something about being in nature, disconnected from technology, and having the mental space and silence to really take in Liu's ideas amplified how absolutely breath taking these stories are. I love the how he mixes the genres of sci-fi, detective drama, tech thriller, and Asian history. I've been recommending this to everyone. Beautiful writing combined with captivating plots. A++

About the Author
Stephen L. Herman is a retired electrician and teacher with more than 30 years of experience to his credit. A seasoned author, his reader-friendly textbooks on electricity and mathematics are popular with students and instructors alike. For two decades Mr. Herman was lead instructor for the Electrical Technology Curriculum at Lee College in Baytown, Texas, where he received an Excellence in Education Award from the Halliburton Education Foundation. He also taught at Randolph Community College in Asheboro, N.C., for nine years and helped establish an electrical curriculum for Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant, Texas. If you are interested in getting "SEAL FIT" because you are preparing for BUD/s, some other elite unit or because you have a desire to see what it takes to train like a Navy SEAL - there is no better, more comprehensive workout program on the market than the Anatomy of Fitness Elite Training Navy SEALs Workout!! I was a SEAL Training Officer at ST-2 and ST-6 and have trained hundreds of civilians wanting to make it to and through BUD/s over the last 30 years and I would have been much more effective in my job if this program were available at the time. Awesome workout! Great strength builder and fat burner. This is truly a workout drawn from the Special Operations community. Its a great foundation for the rookie, refresher for the operator, and another tool for the guy or girl looking to diversify their workout. I work as a Police Officer currently and this keeps me functional for my job while I see strength gains only after 2 weeks! Easy to understand instructions with pictures and description. Be ready when you do the phase II workout. Hydrate and prepare. It will show you why the box has "Navy Seals Workout" printed on it.

Great workout!

This workout is definitely not for the faint of heart. However, as the Navy SEALs like to say to recruits: "The mind and body are capable of ten times more than you think they are and we're going to prove it to you." If you stick with this workout routine you'll find you ARE capable of much more and you'll blow past your self-imposed limitations. Remember, if it were easy, everybody would do it (and I suppose there would be a picture of Richard Simmons on the cover instead of a SEAL)!

Clear concise and informative

In 30 pages or so the author has given a very good history of Crusades from 11th to 15th century. You don't get all the gory details of course, but probably all that's required to understand what happened. The author does go into why Crusades were necessary: Muslims were subjugating all the Middle East and into Asia. Europe was next and after some early successes by the Crusaders, they focused on the "holy land" (Jerusalem, etc.). One of surprising facts here is that Columbus went looking for a sea route to Asia because Muslims controlled the land route, and he wanted to finance his own Crusade.

See Ibn Warraq's excellent book "Why I Am Not A Muslim" or any of Ayaan Hirsi Ali's books to find out why Islam is still doing Inquisitions today, centuries after Christianity stopped. Jihad is baked into the Quran, impossible to ignore.

The Path of Bloodshed

Travel with the tired, wounded knights and simple men who had one quest in their hearts through out all Medieval Ages… to restore Holy Land to the rightful people. Every steps of each Crusade path filled with fear, terror, and bloodshed. Hard times to both sides…

Figure who is rights and who is wrong? Was it necessary? Those are the questions I have asked myself when I read the book. Though the author did an excellent job with mini history series…

Amazing !!

I gladly recommend this short book to anyone interested in the truth about The Crusades. Henry Freeman holds nothing back at all in his extremely well written book about The Crusades. It's about time that someone stopped apologizing for the Crusades and actually described them as what they truly were. They were wars fought out of necessity to save not only Christian territory but Christian lives. The anti Catholic beurocrats would like us to apologize to Muslims for the Crusades when it is Islam that should be apologizing to us for centuries of rape,murder and torture before Europe was able to rid themselves of Muslims. And now we are living in a world where another Crusades must be launched for the same reasons hundreds of years ago. I have the utmost respect for Henry Freeman and his unbelievable not only truthfulness but courage to write this fantastic short book about a time in Catholic history that we've been lied to and blind folded about for years. This is one of the greatest books I've ever read . I have studied Theology and religious history for 10 years. I don't claim to know a lot but I know enough that when a book grabs me like this from beginning to end I consider it an honor to have read it. I look forward to reading more of Mr. Freemans work . Ladies and gentlemen if you're looking for a book that will not only speak the truth about a period in Catholic Church history that we have been told to be ashamed of by political beurocrats and by a religion that was born of the sword but will make you feel proud of your faith and make you feel like you're right there in the heat of battle in Jerusalem, Constantinople or Antioch I beg you to read this fantastic work by Henry Freeman. May God bless him and give him the knowledge to keep writing. I truly feel blessed to have read this.

In "The Trading Tribe" Seykota focuses on what he believes is the most difficult aspect of investing; controlling your emotions. If you consider yourself a trend follower, you will often find yourself trapped in between fear and greed, while you are whipsawed in volatile markets. This book helps you take a step towards recognizing what you are feeling, and being open to experiencing these unwanted feelings or 'K-nots'.

As I can understand how some readers may not find what they are looking for in a typical book on trading,I found this book very insightful on trend following common frustrations. Our emotions are our biggest enemy in the market. Seykota spends little time explaining to you what you already know, and instead spends time on helping you defeat your trading nemesis; yourself.

Most of us have been conditioned not to feel our feelings. Feelings that we do not feel run our life without our realizing it at the conscious level. Ed Seykota has brilliantly described his TT Process in his book The Trading Tribe. More I am reading this book more I am becoming aware and more I am becoming aware, more better I am becoming. At first I did not realize the importance of his TTP. Re Reading his book and giving myself time to know myself with the ideas from this book has helped me realize that there is so much to learn. Lots of learning starts when we start feeling our feelings. Ed emphasizes the importance of feeling our feelings. This may sound odd as Ed is considered a trader and not a self help book guru.

By becoming a better person a person becomes a better trader.

Ed says Everybody gets what they want. There is a lot of depth in this statement.

I am glad this book is my favorite now. While reading this book I had many AHAs. Learning now has become a Work in Progress.

Excellent Work by Ed Seykota

One of my mentors learned under Ed Seykota as well as David Druz who wrote the forward of my book, The Bible of Trend Following. Too many focus on looking for the magical indicator or system. This is not the Holy Grail. Ed teaches us the answer is inside of us. In order to start to succeed in trading one must do a complete introspection and learn about themselves. The psychology of trading is what makes market gurus. This is a must read book for the serious or professional trader.
